OK, I missed this one! It is a wonderful record. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by people who work with their hands--especially when it involves fine details. I've always had a fondness for good images of craftsmen at work, and this is a fine example.
To me there is nothing more noble. BW,the only right choice here,has good lighting and exposuse to fit this composition. Shot from a good perspective, an enjoyable photo to study.

Now that IS a craftsman. That sort of work is usually done using a mechanical fretsaw nowadays.
Great angle and B/W is the perfect way to portray this image.
