Hi Jorg - Bad news. Dont even try the cheaper close-up lenses like Hoya, Kenko etc. I got hold of a good quality set of Konica Close-up lenses with multicoating and its worth it. What I also found isthat with my 105mm Nikor Micro (1:1) the 1+ lense work very well. The 2+ is also good but the distance from the subject is too short and most insects will not stay put. Regards.

Fascinating detail in this super macro, must be a fantastic lens. That clarity and the DOF. I have to get a close up lens for my 180 macro. (Looks like your post becomes very expensive for me ;-))
