I do love this series, and particularly this one. I think it's very interesting to see the different versions of a picture, and grasping, thanks to the author honesty and transparency, the evolution of the image through his inner self and mental projection. I think, Peter, that in this one, you have suceeded in matching and mixing Jean Vigo's "L'Atalante" with the very first Maigret's novel by Georges Simenon. A beautiful "literary" picture. I like this version the best because it makes the form stand out. (The watercolor version is interesting too though.) It looks like this, and the original version, were sharpened too much because the tiny branches are pixelated. Good idea to make this image using a composit.

That was a kind of concrete dam i was standing on .. i could look right down into the water, hence the idea of a panoramic photo ;-)

Hi Peter,

of the three I like this one, but thats because I prefer the artistic feel of duotone. The perspective is just perfect, and the little house just creeping into frame adds just the right amount of weight to keep it from being too balanced.
