About Only enhanced saturation, nature did the rest - providing a yellow filter making the grass greener and roof redder. The rainbow on the left is what caught my eye. This was taken last summer on a farm right after a rain.

Oh no, he hasn't done photography in 5 years. When I was pregnant we had to sell his darkroom equipment to buy baby stuff...sad, I know :) Now he has a career and I'm at home with the kids all day so it's been easy for me to get into it as a hobby, hopefully more some day. I think he would like to try out my new camera but he really doesn't have the time to delve into like he did in the pre-kids days.

Nice landscape Andrea. I also had to look hard for that rainbow. Nice colors!

Hey was bout to sign off. The lens i Used on the horse is not a macro lens it is a zoom lens 70 200 mm but I have been getting great results with it for zoom and macro. I have a macro lens but i have had problems adjusting to it. itis a Sigma 105mm macro.. I just need more practice with it. THe lens you are using of your husbands is going to work well. YOu will get some nice macros with it and landscape shots and portraits. Does he post on Usefilm? if so I would love to see them

I'm going to use my husband's Nikkor 35-80mm lens??? I think that's what it was, because the sensor in a digital is smaller it's actually going to be farther away, you probably knew all that already - someone here and at Wolf explained it to me, but woosh, if it didn't go over my head. I'm a hands-on kind of person so I'll pick up on it all once I get messing around with it. I'm going to put a good macro lens on my Christmas list. That one you used on the horse photo looks great!

It comes with a decent handbook. Also, a good place to learn about the camera is a site called DPReview. There are forums there that you can ask questions. You can always ask me although I am still learning too. What lens did you buy Just the kit? That thing I use to take pics a lot the VR lens cost more than the camera lol

Thanks Steven - it's a serene place to me - my gr-gr-grandfather built that home in 1890 for my gr-gr-grandmother. I'm sure it's just another country setting to most viewers :) The rainbow just added a little special touch for me.

I bought the camera the other day and just got the tracking # saying it should arrive Fri. at 4:30p.m. Needless-to-say, I will not be leaving my home at that time :) It's the D70, thanks for asking! I'm sure I'll be posting way too many pictures once I figure it all out :)
