About Monday afternoon was grey and overcast, but the gorse and heather covering large areas of these amazing rock formations at least gave us a little colour to shoot.

About the only thing in this picture that gives it any sense of scale is the white post just up and right of centre. This is a telescope put there for the benefit of passers-by and stand around the height of an average woman.

Best regards to all,

Chris

Frightening scene, even the spot you took the shot from is scarey. You sure get into some awesome places,Just be careful Chris.

Not this time, Steve ~ at least, not far!
Our wives were patiently waiting in the car and we didn't want to push our luck!
Best regards, Chris

Enough scale for me. I have a fear of heights and this picture is making me dizzy. Beautiful scenic shot. I think I would have braved it for this view. Lovely.

A footpath as in a trail? I thought that was a road. Very nice capture. Love the yellow bushes.

What a sense of scale here, that path does not look too inspiring ..... especially if it is wet and windy. Wonderful photograph - did you take the path Chris ?

Best wishes,
Steve

Chris - lovely shot of this beautifula part of the British coastline - know the area well from my holidays, it's the path that leads back to Lbnton and Lynmouth - unfortunately when I walked it on a hot summers day it was swarming with horse flies! - still nice to see it looking so good at this time of year - :) Jeff

Beautiful panorama there. It looks a bit cold over there, isn't it?

Jim, that is a footpath, not a road ~ and what a footpath it is! I'd love to walk it on a bright, sunny day. The views are incredible and the drops are amazing!! There's room for two people to comfortably walk side-by-side, but not much more!
Thanks for your kind comment.
Best regards, Chris

That is an amazing photo. Wow the drop off from the telescope to the water is amazing . Am I to assume that there is a foot trail by the telescope rather than a auto road ? either way its too high for me ;=)

Yet again it's hard to imagine any way in which this could be improved! The composition and colors are just perfect. And what a wonderful sense of place and weather... Thanks for pointing out what that white speck was. It does indeed give a sense of scale.

Beautiful composition, Chris! I like the almost frame filling of the rocks with just a bit of the grey sky showing. Great detail of the road/trail, too. Colours of the flowers and foliage are very nice.
Dave.
