Great capture of this old locomotive, Ade! Great work, it does improve an already good image. Over here, at least, we call the thing on the front a "cow catcher". Dave.

Cracking photograph Ade, superb work with the layering - I think we are going to have to have a PS day one of these meets (next Winter or whenever !).
Great day yesterday ... yet again :-)
Weather cannot dampen spirits (only the beer lol).
Best wishes, Steve

Hi Ade, this is a fabulous shot. Taking the tripod paid dividends. To fill in the details this is an ex Chinese Government Railways Class KF7 (4-8-4 wheel arrangement) loco. Loco and tender weigh in at 193 tons so you don't want that running over your toes. Looking forward to seeing your spinning wheel shots. Den

Cheers - it's a funny place to photograph in cause you can get hugely distracting backgrounds - so I've spent quite a bit of time blurring and darkening the backs just so the train can stand out.
was a fun day out - even binged on chineese food in a eat as much as you like buffet!
Cheers
Ade

Just been reading about your visit to York on Den's page. You've captured this loco beautifully. AJ
