About really trying hard to maintain respect for the dark greys here, so there is some light in the shadows, and also trying to show the cloud shadows beyond in the haze.
A view towards central otago.
Our first stop on trip to poolburn with dean and greg. (where are we guys?)

Hello Ian, Is it a shot from a different planet? Looks So mistycal, i love the toning, the fog, the blurry BK, the sharp three.
My best regards, Larissa

Thanks Ian for backing up my critique and Suggested fix.

Wow, This is a great landscape. It's un-worldly. Looks to be a rough place.

Thanks for your comments, Ian! This is an incredible landscape study. The high-key tretament is very bold and the tint is a real success. To boot the tonality in the distance receding out of focus is sheer poetry. Regards /Hansi

The tint and hazyness give this a special presence and quality. Has an atmosphere of an imminent desaster.Intriguing foto, Congratulations

Hello lan! This almost looks like an IR photo! The grasses and highlights are glowing and the overall tone is really good! The craggley old tree branch really gives the photo an interesting mood!
A fasinating photo My Friend! Take care lan! Happy Easter to You!.....GOD bless!

very nice landscape. I like the tones very much especially in the background. They have an almost painting like look. I think I wouldn't mind if the shadows were lower. Actually the lifted black levels is the only thing that I don't like that much. The framing is a little tight on the top and right side. But its wonderful landscape. Great work!

From 12,000 miles away you captured the barren soul of my wife.... uh-oh, I think she is coming up the stairs... I'll get back to ya!

(Killer pic though, my friend!!!!!)
