I hear City of Rocks is an amazing place but haven't been there myself. Beautiful scenery, cool rock formations and awesome climbing routes. I haven't climbed in almost 3 years, that's pretty sad :(

I am not sure, but you're right...it is east of Boise and you go over while on the interstate there. I remember thinking how vivid the colors were in the rock formations on how much contrast to. I am looking forward to it; any suggestions?

That should be fun, there are a lot of great place to climb. Is is by the dam? There are great basalt formations just above the Diversion Dam to the east of Boise. Very nice, but hot in the summer :)

I was a little leary to post that one but one of my friends and his wife really liked it and so I did. I concentrate mostly on my landscapes on this site but I am going to start putting up some of the other stuff I have done and let people critique it. I feel really lucky to have been led to this site. Thanks again! One of these days I am going to hit this really cool canyon outside of Boise to go rock climbing and picture taking; it looked amazing going over it. My Dad and I were there together but he wasn't able to do that...oh well. :)

Nice angle and perspective. I really like the b&w tones!
