Great sequence. I like the shot and composition but dont think it works well for a sequence. You cant really see the rider stick the landing. Maybe if you were a little more to the left for a little more profile shot. Just minor details/suggestions. Like I said, its a great shot.
I cant wait for this winter. I now live pretty much across the street from the entrance to Beaver Creek. I look out my window at work and see both beaver creek and the back side of vail. I wish that snow would hurry up and get here!

Another great one Phil, this time the shadows are working for you. This is my fave rail shot of yours. i love how the shutter is slow enough to get that blur, giving a sense of speed, and slower and it would be too blurred but this is perfect. great work, great angle.

Sweet Angle, and I like how well you cought the "Tribute" Josh was a friend of mine, and the fact that you can't see the riders face just makes this shot better if you ask me. Now it seems more like a dedication to an old friend than just a sick rail shot.

Nice Phillip. You have done a great job here and I wouldn't change a thing. Very good colors and sharpness. You have stitched them together very well. Lee

Looks like its missing the two shots of him on the backside just before the last one. Other than that I like it.

the 20D shoots at such a fast frame rate that you can take all the seperate images and select the area you want to copy and paste into the image, (the rider in this case) and paste them all into one of the images, deleting the background and leaving a reference point (in this case the rail so i could line up the shots) making sure the shots dont overlap i composed the final image which is the upload, with the most recient dragon upload, the handplant was a different angle and perspective all together but it worked out... i havent tripoded any action shots with the 20D yet and it works wonders following riders and taking high speed multiple captures.. buffers the shots to the card and allows you to continue shooting more action, i love it

loving it, shooting in RAW with the JPEG option let me blow through 6 shots as fast as the shutter speed is.... i got a super fast memory card too so it buffers the shots to the card and lets me continue shooting.. ive also noticed i can time my firing, shoot 3 at the beiginning of the rail, let off the shutter then get back on it when the rider is about to finnish the trick or rail... ill have more from this upcoming weekend, im trying to get my butt up tomorrow to shoot sunrise and rocky Mtn NP in the afternoon... ill let you know

Great work Phillip. I get the feeling that you are loving the 5fps speed of your 20D!

good idea. As you already said, it would be nice to have his face. Shooting from theother side might also give you a nice light from the back (more dramatic).
The angle is not so successful. The action is going away from us and when he is big in frame he is cut off at the top.
