Evelyn, you called it right--she is a live wire. She's only been with us for a little over a week, but she seems to be adjusting quite nicely. And lucky for me, she likes to have her picture taken! Thanks for your kind comment. :)
Awwwwwwwww, what a little cutie! Likes to pose too, I see. How wonderful that you have such a willing model. You probably had to grab the moment, and steadying the camera on a tripod wasn't an option. What you could try, which I do, is hold the camera strap, somewhat taut around the back of my neck, while holding the camera forward with two hands. This forms a sort of "tripod." It would be sharper if you did this, probably. Just for fun, consider removing colour in all but the eyes. with just the saturated eyes it would be intriguing. :)
What a CUTIE!! She is a little live wire and will keep you running from the look of it. I have two of my own from the SPCA and they have finally got me "trained"! ;) Wonderful detail and contrast dark and light. But that expression in the eyes is what really MAKES the picture! And she is smiling! Look out, Laurie -- she has plans for you!
