Well....I had to try...although It lined up with the grid lines of my straightening tool it almost looks like it's now leaning the other way

Thank you, Drilan. I am always drawn to these buildings also. Since there is some interest in tseeing more of them, I intend to post a few more in the near future.

I caught you humor, but This turned out to be one of those frustrating pictures. The reason--I hope you're sittting down--is that the damn'd thing IS straight; it just doesn't look like it!

Contrary to my kidding of the Horizon Police, I do adjust many images--especially architectural ones. For some, the changes are radical. Others, I like tilted--as you well know.

I haven't tried Picasa2, but I agree with your assessment that Photoshop is awfully good for this operation. I think the most elegant tools for straightening and perspective correction are in PaintShop Pro, v. 8 and 9. Although these days, I am using PS-CS as my weapon of choice.

Well, that's certainly more than you wanted to know. I'll just shoot flowers for a few days. ;-)

Keep clickin' away! --g

It's been a few years since I visited my brother over your side of the pond, he lives a 'little' way north of you in chilly Wisconsin. So a visit isn't entirely impossible...

I was making sport of those who would accost you for your transgressions....It's a very well done photo...ps...have you ever tried Picasa2 from the Google folks...picasa.com? Although most of it's toolset is executed better in PS, It does have a pretty nice straighten tool.....I've become accustomed to it's use as I've been sensitized to my inadequate presentation skills

Yeh, Larry, I tried straightening it a dozen times, but it never lost the apparent tilt to my satisfaction. I believe it needs perspective correction. Sometimes, I confess I just say, "OK, that's enough." I guess I am just weak-willed. --g
