Wow, this is a powerful image you have captured here. The colours were amazing that day, the contrast between the red & blue in the sky is something you do not see everyday and because of this it look slightly unreal or ethereal.
Also with your choice to fill the frame with so much sky it really does make the tree look tiny, like natures "pawn".
