Having viewed both images I like this one better. Why? Just cos I do, Ijust can't put it as eloquently as Mr Loy.

Picasso said, ?Cezanne is the father of us all.? There have been many painters of the impressionist and post-impressionist movement. We have stood on the shoulders of giants in our lifetime. Seurat used a pixilation process on his, ?A Sunday on La Grande Jatte? and from there we have grown. Photography is no longer a see/shoot/show medium. Now, with the advent of technological magic, we can realize in our ?real? world, images only applicable in years past of brush to canvas. This is a simplistic yet well contrived use of modern technology and inner vision. The hard steel of the railing and the solid anchor of concrete gives us a place we can focus on, an image that resounds with human environmental involvement. From there you have taken us on a Monet-esque ride to places only true visionaries are privy to. By pointilating to a degree just beyond cultural ready acceptedness, you have shown art and life in a way that the French painters pointed out in the last century. Wonderful use of post-impressionist ideas and modern technological access. I must say, seldom have I seen photography shaped and bent into a vision so wonderful and full! Cezanne may have been the father of us all, but Mrs. Willson, you are the mother of ?art for art?s sake." You are a vocal understatement of original and grand vision. I applaud your vision. I am humbled by your view of a life less ordinary.

Hi, Gabrielle. My personal opinion is that I like the painting better than the original photo. That was nice, but I find the character of this more interesting. It's an artistic look at a relatively mundane scene.
