Sandra,
I hope you don't mind, but I took your photo into PS Elements and tried to use just the color cast tool and immediately saw what you mean about the water. I played around a little more though and got close to what I was visualizing when I wrote my last comment. What I did was go in and desaturate the yellow channel in the Hue/saturation tool before applying the color cast tool and this seemed to fix the problem of the off colored water. After that I went back to the Hue/saturation tool and bumped up the blue and cyan values slightly to increase the cool feel and ran it through Neat Image to eliminate some noise that was showing up. I'll post the result here and see if you think it helps or not.

Greeting Eric, Thank you for your kind suggestion, when i try and adjust the white balance, the white of the snow and the light house looks very good but the water looks awful. Best Regards, Sandra

Very nice composition keeping the sky to a minimum and emphasizing the more interesting water reflection. You might want to consider playing a bit with the white balance to give a cooler feel. Right now the overall yellowish cast of the photo gives a warm feel to the scene that doesn't seem to fit well with the idea of night or with the snow visible on the foreground rocks.
