I am using a tool called The GIMP (stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program). It's public domain, has functions similar to Photoshop, and you can learn more at www.gimp.org.
GIMP comes with a script that creates a single slide from a single photo. I have updated that script to make a slide film for a collection of photos.

I like it a lot - how do you do that? It is really neat.

Great series, Gabrielle. Have seen that movie many times over. What do you think about this kind of arrangement for your pictures?
Also, take a look at my "Determination" series at http://www.usefilm.com/browse.php?mode=portfolio&portfolio_id=13923&summary=1

Wayne we still do have lots of tree in NC despite the massive clearance that seems to be a feature of the area I live in.

Neil two more to follow. I agree about the half leg however there are two reasons for this. Each photo was not cropped at all just put together with the others in PS elements. This was firstly because logistically it was easier for me and secondly becauss the figures in the background are also telling their own little onlooker story. So to remove the half leg would also have removed one of my spectators.

Nicely done.
Couldn't help noticing the trees in the background - look like some good landscape possibilities.

From a story telling point of viewI think it's very good.
Photographically it's also sound, but think I would have slightly cropped the bottom right image to remove the figure on the left who's leg is just creeping into the picture.

Very good sequence of shots. It tells the story. Good colors and lighting.
