WOW!
I love when good equipment matches up with people who know how to use it! I agree about the branches but only in that they seem a little close. They'd form a nice addition to the photo if there was more balance between the placement of the tower and the branches.

Super shot Jim but lacking the atmosphere of the B/W one. I've often wondered about shooting a lighthouse at night to see if it's possible to capture the searching beam of light. But as we're in the middle of the country there ain't many lighthouses around. Even on the coast most of them have been decommissioned. Den

Very good Jim, hand held again.....the IS for the canon does very well, but I think that you have a pretty steady hand also. You have such a wide Varity of picturess places and you make the most of them, I never tire of viewing your images. I spent a little time last night viewing your portfolio (again) I truly find you to be a very talented photragapher with a portfolio that speaks for itself. I hope to someday be half as good as you are. Have a fantastic day. Your friend Lee

Wonderful old lighthouse, Jim! Might it be worth cloning out the twigs at top right? Best regards, Chris

Yes Jim, long live canons IS :) Good work and nice (simple) composition, crystal and rich colors with good details, escpecially if we consider that picture was taknen at 400mm. Branches on the right side disturbs a little.
