About I was photographing the neighbours new born foal when I noticed he seemed to be watching his shadow on his mothers side. He was only about an hour old and still very disorientated. So cute!

what a splendidly seen, and quickly captured moment, Ann. It would help to go into Photoshop and adjust the highlights down a bit, so there is less of the mare that is blown out and featureless.

Wow - he is still wet! How lucky for you to be in such a situation capturing the first few moments of life!

Thanks , Kel, he was very cute, but grew into a right little devil. I can't remember what they called him but he definitely had attitude. Turned into a good stud pony, though, even if a little hard to handle. I was hoping to see him being born, but he took everyone by surprise. The neighbour had a few foals born during the time I lived there, but I missed every one by about an hour or two. Cheers, Ann.
