About This is the image I loaded earlier. I have lightened up the top right corner, per a comment on the previous upload. I think this is better. This is a piece of photoart, where I wanted to create an image that looked as if a real butterfly had landed on a painting, being drawn to the lovely lavender. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you Mark. I have a version with a shadow, and it did make an improvement. I just haven't had time to post it. Will do it soon.

I like the effect, and the colors on the background are excellent and soft. I agree a bit of shadow might cement the effect you are looking for.

Thanks for the comment yesterday!

Thanks Kay! Actually, I did another version and added the shadow and texture to the painting part to make it appear more like a canvas. It does make it look more realisitic. I'll have to post it today.

The black butterfly relly stands out to the rest of the surrounding and the flowers. The DoF and capture done to a DA perfection..
Well done.

Impressive! You could add a slight shadow to the bfly to make it look more like it had landed on a painting. Nice technique. Very creative!

Hi Dale, I think this is better with the less heavy top left corner. Regards John
