About For this piece of photoart, I wanted to create the impression that a real butterfly had landed on a painting of lavender. I don't know if I succeeded or not. What do you think? Also taken at the lavender farm. This image has been posted before, but with different treatment on it.

Lovely shot Dale Ann! Outstanding masking on the butterfly! It looks as though it is ready to land.

John, I did rework this image, and would love to know what you think of it. Please look in my portfolio for the revision. I appreciate your time and do appreciate your honest comment. I think it helped to make the image better.

Thank you John, and I agree. Thank you for pointing it out. I hadn't noticed it till you mentioned it, but that top left corner is a bit too dark. I will work on that! Thanks so much!

Thanks so much Margaret! That is exactly what I was hoping to convey. That the butterfly was drawn by the beauty of the painting! So glad you liked it!

Dale I think you have succeeded very well. Maybe the top left hand corner is just a little heavy. But that could be the compression for Usefilm. Regards John

Yes I think you have achieved that- it is as if the butterfly is fooled by the excellent painting and has landed on it thinking it real.
