Hi John. I don't know much about Paintshop but in Photoshop I added a duplicate layer and change the blend mode to screen. This has the effect of lightening the dark areas with out blowing out the highlights. Then using a mask I brushed back some of the shadow areas. Added some contrast enhancement with a very low round of unsharpmask, added a bit of punch to the yellows and a final unsharp mask. Sould complicated but quite easy with a bit of practice. Using layers is non-destructive and allows you to try different things and still be able to go back and undo if it's not working.

Good to see other Paint Shoppers - love the pic. Guess I'd like to have seen more colours on the front of the train, though, to balance that band on the platform. AJ
