About	This is Detroit Michigan; I put it in the ?Famous Places? photo project because I think it?s pretty high on the list of places not to visit. Detroit was ready for a 3-peat in 2004 until the title was stolen by Camden New Jersey for most violent crimes. Actually, downtown Detroit is pretty safe (for the most part) it?s the close surrounding area?s that are the war zones.

Paul, good point, for all intents and purposes, there is always and I mean always police presence within shouting distance anywhere you go down there. there?s more police cruisers then taxi cabs.
