Thank you, Carlos. She has been my favorite subject for quite a while, and her new little sister is starting to make her move. I'll post some more pictures of both before too long. --george

?End of a Busy Day? was my fav pic of this sweet little doll, probably because it stood out in contrast to the exuberance of all the others: ?My turn? ?Whee!!!? ?Li'l Slugger? ?Attention? ?Wow!? ?Shampoo?? But ?New to Usefilm? takes over. Hilarious narrative here - first a terrific title and the shot tells the story of your favourite model delighting in the chance of finally playing with grand-papa?s favourite toy, out of bounds until this very moment. A toy he is constantly using on her but which he always keeps to himself :) A terrific shot of this living doll ? a Shirley Temple to the new millennium? she is beautiful and the picture shows it - again!

Larry, When I must use a flash (not too often), I almost always bounce from the ceiling, occasionally from a nearby vertical surface. Direct flash never seems to work well for me--unpleasant shadows, hotspots and the like. So when I do use the flash, it is invariably with the diffuser. I am sure you're right about church ceilings, but for other uses, I think you'll find it a very useful (and economical) piece of equipment.

Thanks for that info George. Do you bounce light from the ceilings for a lot of your work?? I have a new off camera Sony flash, it tilts etc and has a built in difusser.....would something like this aid wedding work?? Maybe not, at least in churches as they are all too high ceilings, but maybe receptions where rooms are lower..just curious how you use this George. many thanks,
Larry

Larry--(Catching up on Comments) This is a homemade device, just some flexible plastic and scotch tape. I have a commercial version for my Canon flash unit. It's by Sto-fen, made for a variety of units, very sturdy, about $20. It's a good piece of equipment. --george

She is so sweet George, I have a son and family in Leesburg. Is that like a softbox on your flash? Homemade or commercial? I want to get back into weddings and keep alert for new and different ideas.
