Hiya Chad, thanx for the comment.

Well. I don't have assistants for 4 reasons:
1: I don't want to have to pay anyone to have them learn my tricks and then leave me to go on his own...
2: In my line of work - girls, in case u didn't notice - I need to make the girl feel comfortable and create a bond between us so she will be herself and let go of all her inhibitions. I can't do that when there is someone else present. It just doesn't work.
3: If an assistant of mine makes a mistake. I have to be responsible for it. Right now, if there is any f**k up, I am 100% responsible for it and it's my own a$$ on the line.
4: There are too many horny guys out there and I guarantee u, it is very difficult working with a hard-on... Unless it's mine...

;^)

Cheers

Pat

Hi Matheson, thanx for your comment.

Since I am also a graphic designer for 15 years, I always have an end in mind when I do commercial work like this one.

The ad is for a Dental clinic so the focus was on the smile more than anything else... I had an idea what I was gonna do with the ad but i design as I go. I usually never plan ahead...

But, a good photo is always a good photo. Like Peta said, she has an engaging smile and that is what is needed for this particular project. A beautiful girl with a radiant smile, great eyes and moving hair will get a lot of attention on a magazine.
I also chose the red turtleneck because of the red color. Reds are very eye-catching colors and that's what all print advertisements need. To get attention.

Cheers

Pat

No Peta :^(

I am not too happy with it. It doesn't focus fast enough for my kinda work and sometimes it doesn't focus right when I try selective focusing. I have it as a back up camera in case something happens to the 1D... I did use it the other day for some photos with my 17-40L lens and the focusing wasn't that impressive... And also, the focal lens multiplier is 1.6 against 1.3 on the 1D so there is a 5mm difference between cameras...

G'day

P

Wheres the booty? Just kidding, great shot PPDix. And it was nice to see the actual add as well. You have the job I have always fantasized about, any advice on finding a guy with your knowledge who needs a assistant?

Pat, it is great to see your shot and the way it is used.
Very impressive, as it is both vivacious and restrained.

Do you have an end in view for most of your work or are you
just driven ?
Regards

Matheson

I love it. I hope you are proud of it also. I didn't mean to imply that you were only a T & A photographer...but you have to admit...the saucy images certainly do get the volume of viewings. And that was what I was referring to. I like to see people viewing non adult images (if you know what I mean) as then they usually give more appropriate advice towards the image itself and not the subject.

If that makes sense :P

Well Judi, u've seen my portfolio. I am not just a T&A photographer...

Now, sometimes these portraits look a little boring by themselves on white. So here is the ad it goes into. I took both photos of course, and I designed the magazine ad too, hence the "Commercial" category.

Hope u like.

G'day!

That is a little better. But I must warn you....you have her full clothed in the part that we can see...so you probably won't get as many hits as you are used to...LOL!! With that been said, I still think it is a good portrait.
