You're right. I'm not trying to take photos of the birds, but my camera has 380mm zoom so i can, from time to time, take a few shots. Camera was on full zoom, and that's the reason image is blurry.
Actually i had no intention of photographing birds that high, but my friend on the other hand wanted. So i've made this one for him, and to show-off my 380mm against his 85mm. BUHAHAH...
An then i actually liked the picture. Absence of colours and the emptynes is what i liked.
i like the composition, nice and minimalist in color but with good lines, the bunch of branches in the corner makes the overall image read as a nice diagonal. the thumbnail view looked like the bird had a long neck with its beak pointing up, so i was a little disappointed to find it wasn't so... it's quite blurry, which i assume is just due to the compression for web. but if you could clean up the silhouette of the bird slightly, to set it off from the lines of the tree a little more, that would be good.
i assume you are not really trying to take photos of birds here, for that you really would have to try a different approach/equipment. with that in mind, you may want to try more compositions with ostensible subjects in places other than the center of the photo.
