About I took this picture holding his head still with one hand and in the other hand my camera. It was not easy because, there were four pony?s asking for attention. And they use everything to get it. One bite me in my knee and arm, and the other one tried to knock me over. I took several pictures and this is one of the best

Hi Harry, Thanks for your reply. You have a point, as it fits more within the atanomy of the animal; besides, when I tried to compose a portrait format, I found it difficult to zoom in enough to capture fur and eye without including bits and pieces of the background. That's a matter of chosing the right lens, though.

Cheers,

Hugo

Thank you for your comment I have tried portrait and, square format to but I think this needs a portrait format. I feel that there is less dep?t in the portrait and square format .

Hi Harry, Love the closeup here, the world openig up in the horses eye. The textures of the skin and the lighting are exellent. Just for the sake of discussion, I attached a similar shot of dog's eye; and when I looked at it, I wondered about the format and framing. Why did you choose a landscape format whereas the direction created by the lighting could well call for a portrait format?

Cheers,

Hugo

Hahaha... It's a LOVELY closeup and beautiful well taken photo! But it's hard to not laugh when I'm reading your text! Photographers have to suffer a lot for good photos! ;-))
