About Wall in Belrin. No photoshop!

I missed B&W..So I plan to upload some images, unless I change my mind and crave for color and "magical realism".

Aren?t walls with things to see and read on them a life experience that looks more like a book with moving illustrations around??

YES, THEY ARE. I THINK.

IT SEEMS LIKE A CREAM GROUP L-P COVER, OR I THOUGHT THEM...

REGARDS.

Treasure wall with small Ubahn guide and curious arts.

There seems to be so much that is humanity on that wall. It makes me feel that everything is very unified, that everybody is in relationship to one another, in some way.

I think it being part of a city's transportation workings is symbolically important, and adds to the overall feeling.

Intriguing image, reading walls is sth that fascinates some people because you may find unbelievable things on them. And guess what?Nobody knows why...

I thought it was done with PS, but it?s real!!! City walls can be very interesting subjects sometimes, even if town mayors don?t think so ;) I don?t know why, but I like it, I wonder how many stories live behind these graffiti? Hugs, Max

there aren't many things i miss about not living in the city, but this is definitely one of them - wall art. Free, public displays of creativity found so often where you don't expect them. This works great in b&w as it gives my eye the opportunity to focus in on the shapes & designs found here.

As someone has pointed out, the U5/U8 are underground (subway) lines - maybe a striking metaphor for the very lively underground culture in Berlin. Berlin is always interesting, even when it is (occasionally) depressing or offensive. It is alive - and this is reflected in the photo!

Nice picture Mary, and pay attention to what walls are saying to us is a nice habit!.

This painting makes more exciting to take the U-Bahn. It is a ray of light on the underground darkness.

Pop art! Mary, I am a island boy, raise most of my life in the Caribbean. I like to keep life simple, This is almost to "busy/dizzy" for me. My motto has always been to keep it simple: a few colours, a paintbrush, and a surface to work on. I think that the great artist is the simplifier. Graffiti art does speaks to the soul, as does your photo here! Peace to your soul my friend, James

thank you Hugo!!
The boy in the middle of the picture is a reverse photocopy put on the wall!! I like your inversed option a lot!!! I am glad we have both here...THANK YOU!!!!!

The feeling of the inverse photocopy gives me "a mirror in a mirror" impression...and what you did really became more thought provoking...

I sometimes want to walk and read books...it is not possible as my birthdays would be removed instantly...walls with info to read attract me as the world gives me the sense of a book with illustrations....Berlin is a heaven for contemplative dreamers....

Hi Mary, The touch of the inverted tones of the poster create a very weary feel to this image. That, in combination with the hard contrast, the grapic (yet unmistakeably photographic) nature of this shot makes it very intriguing. This is one of the shots that make me think... And you know how much I enjoy that...

I just had to try and invert this image, triggered by the poster. Just to check what that would do to the atmosphere. I kind of like the effct, as it does make the image different, but with the same strength. Very intersting, and thanks for bringing me on edge again...:)

Cheers,

Hugo
