No, Bill, no filter. As I recall, I only cropped and did the desaturation of the surroundings. We were in a large garden center, and the light through the overhead panels was beautifully diffused. That probably accounts for the effect.
And you're right. She is my favorite subject, but her little sister is coming on fast.

Hi George... Great shot... Larry Fosse and I were discussing the shot. Did you, by any chance use a #1 Soft Focus Filter on this beauutiful little girl, or was this just an affect of the sunlight? Nice shot...Grand Kids are great to shoot!!! )

Well, Rafi, she is my first grand-daughter. (She now has a baby sister.) Usually a bundle of energy, she was running low when I shot this one. Thanks for the compliments.
