Thank you, Sam. When I used to shoot film I would generally meter for skin tones (the face usually), but I've grown lazy and so used to shooting in this window that I know it's going to be 1/60-1/100 and f4.5-f5.6 depending on the time of day. I've never shot in RAW (yet) and I use photoshop elements for conversions. Thanks for taking the time to comment and Happy New Year!

Hi Pat, I am impressed with the smooth tones of the skin shown here. I'm curious as to what you use as a metering spot? And, what your process is to achieve this look? Do you use RAW? I assume you convert to BW and tone in PS... Oh well, I enjoy seeing your work here on usefilm. Keep 'em coming and have a great New Year! Sam

I love it! The shadows give just a hint of the minnie bow you know is there! Very sweet! I also love the bit of drool on her chest!

This one is a little dark IMHO Pat. Too many dark shadows around the side of the face and its lost detail in the hair, sorry.
