do you know Ian i like a lot the lower part the upper got to much definition, definitin in visual art can be quite agressive, i'm quoting Noronha da Costa a great Portuguese painting that himself he paints out of focus and the same when he photograph...

Very nice composition Ian, and amazing reflection. I like it. The colors are beautiful and the transition with the water, well captured. Cheers Fabrice

Yes sai, I'll take another though on a more still day and or when it is raining to add more event. Good idea, and I think it may work if I make it a bit more still but eventfull. Hopefully I will get a more flattened effect that way.

great texture..do you have a composition in which the the ratio of moss and reflection are inverted? (2/3rd moss and 1/3rd reflection)

Thanks for the thought Stephan. I sharpened it a tad and yeah that uglied it a bit. Needs to be flattened somehow a bit as well, wondering about a shot of the same space with focal point forward amidst some hard falling rain.

I often hum Walk On By as I stop to take a photograph to pull that special little part out of the world that the great unwashed rest of them, that is the non photographers of the world just rush on ..I recall that graffiti from many years ago Consume be silent & die...how pertinent.. I smile to myself? mate I see this as ? yeah big? like send your file on a CD to RGB in Brisbane 20?X30? $17AUD?let e know if you want the details and I can send rojpix@hunterlink.net.au or MSN imajin8r@hotmail.com Now down to the critique.. so yeah Rothko I think I have talked to you before about but did I mention Diebenkorn ..man once you go there it gets hard to get out This is a lovely lovely image a quiet slowly resolving thing at once banal but as a contradiction extremely detailed wonderful and full of the quiet little things ..the world is an amazing place thanks for lifting another small part out and showing us

I like it very much, but on the detail level it gets very pixelated and I think it detracts from the softer overall impression I get. I had the pleasure to see a few large Rothkos at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC - somehow larger is better for this as well.

Be worth pursuing if we could get an 800 by 800 pixel equivalent! A few days ago managed something a bit more painterly. Still trying to work out how to apply that stroke effect to this material, so not trying, yet. Thanks for your thought.
