About Very rarely is there a sunrise with such colour in Williams Lake, so I took it as an early Christmas present! This image is from almost exactly a year ago while I was visiting for Christmas. I finally got around to scanning it recently.
The sky colour was gorgeous, but I found it challenging to find interesting foreground to compliment it. Any suggestions would be appreciated as alternative foregrounds.
Thanks to Nathan for the title!

hi, congrats on your website!...i think this is a gorgeous sky/landscape with nice diagonals and contrast...love the highlights behind the silhouetted treeline...the snowy foreground could use a bit of light, but overall i think you did very well,Kim..regards,gayle

amazing almost spinning effect to those clouds on the left edge of the image... wonderful colors and saturation as well, i enjoy the red reflection on the snow in the forground

I've experienced the same thing...great sunset but nothing spectacular in the foreground. Maybe closer to that tall tree in the middle? Some focus on a singular item may work.

Thats an amazing sky...like its on fire

the challenge with any foreground would be the exposure

When I read through the comments, I also thought that the foreground could be brought to compete with the sky if it were a little brighter (but I see Dirck already beat me to it - he's good!). [caution - inside joke, see http://www.usefilm.com/image/631448.html :-)] It is beautiful but to me it actually looks a little dark overall.

What a stunning sky, Kim - amazingly intense colors! I like the foreground, actually, so I don't know about alternatives for it - maybe a bit more of it would be nice, though? I also think the FG could be brought out a little more so that it's not overwhelmed by the brightness of the sky. Just suggestions 'cause you asked! :) Beautiful photo!

its a good picture, i think its a good contrast with the sky the way it is and snow on the ground.....almost like fire and ice.
