I can tell you MaLuisa, this rose has the most intoxicating smell. I have it growing underneath my bedroom window and when I wake up in the morning...the aroma is beautiful.

Its our "community" name for the neighborhood in CA where I live. There is no island, just a meeting of 2 roads (Channel Islands and Rose Ave). Cute name huh? :)

This particular rose normally flowers red...this is the first flower I have seen pink. It is quite special.

I think it's a little slow this time of year (could also be the fact that the site was down earlier today/yesterday). The photo is wonderful and the color is amazing on that rose. WOW. I miss them (don't have roses here and I live in a place called "Rose Island"... :)
