Gayle: The trick is to bring the camera lens very close -almost touching the aquarium wall- at 45% angle. That along with a lot of luck help!!

Must have been shot at an angle to avoid the reflected flash. Very good clarity. I'm imprssed with the amount of light you managed to get in there. I find these exhibits very rewarding to photograph but usually there is so very little ambient light...

Stunningly beautiful shot. It's got it all goin' on: sharpness, contrast, good color saturation, interesting subject, good composition of an existing scene where elements cannot be arranged.

I too went to the Long Beach Acquarium, but didn't even come close to capturing an image like this.
Given the light I'm surprised that this image came out as good as it did especially at 1/125th with a flash.
The detail is perfect.
Did you use any kind of filter? I see absolutely no relflection from the tanks that the jelly fish were in.
7+!

Beautiful capture of Jelly. Really poetic mood. These jellies are unusual for me. Regards, 'Surya'

The only thing I would change would be to flip the photograph so that the jellyfish on the right would become the one on the left. It would tell more of a story that way.
