Blimey - I remember going with my dad for a test ride in one of these. Didn't they have lights that steered round the corners? This is a lovely shot - you do manage to get a very attractive clairty in your work. Very nice.

Oh this looks great Hugo! I loved the previous one, and this looks just as great!
I like the dynamic sky, but I'm wondering to myself if the horison might be to center placed... no? It's splitting the photo into two halfs in a way, and hard to decide if attention goes to sky or car. I think I would try this in quadratic form, but maybe I'm wrong. It's just a thought that popped up in my mind.
Oooops... children are waking up here... time for the big day... Christmas! Have to go, but see you!
And ps. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Make sure you don't mix up the two....
As to the headlights, they are only allowed for cars which were equipped with them originally, but new cars cannot have those yellow bulbs any more. The Brits still tape the left side of each headlight when driving to the continent, but are no longer required to paint their headlights... I've never seen such a thing, though.
The hair spray only works for speed traps where they actually flash the car and take a picture; with lazer guns etc, it won't work...:(
Cheers,
hugo

To Mr. de Wolf Suspension: only the A6 Allroad model Yellow... understood that with new EU regulations... yellow banned except for 'fog' lamps... and the Brits used to have a quasi paint years ago, which was required when they crossed to le France... so off to a 'hair stylist' to try... Again many compliments to your curvaceous maintained Young Lady!

Never mind being late; I appreciate your comment! I quite agree, there's nothing left to the imagination is not quite true, the experience of driving such a car is unrivalled, and maybe a good thing to try and capture on camera... So beautifully smooth...
I didn't know the A6 has a comparable suspension! That yellow paint you refer to; could that be by any chance be the paint you spray over your licence plate to prevent the reg. number to be captured on film with speed traps?...heheheh...;) It's been banned for a while, and with new detection systems, it's no longer effective, unfortunately. Could tray hair spray, apparently, it has the same effect...;)
If you are referring to the headlights, French cars used yellow bulbs, the glass is clear (see attached...)
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi Hugo,
At first sight it looks as if the sky is pasted from another image (probably because of the intensity of its colour as was mentioned before). But then at second sight - don't know is this is a correct English expression but you'll know what I mean - there is this marvellous reflection of the sky in the bonnet. This is what I like most of this image, and it also makes me believe you that the sky is real :-) Nice car, by the way :-)

Hermen

As a late-comer... and I am always late... But this is no late-bloomer... Only, having started with the 'SC' = 1973 Goddess I, and slowly moved around her curvaceous (the curves of a full or voluptuous) body... so wonderfully adorned... I read with astonishment... "Now, there's nothing left to the imagination, except for maybe the right side of the car..." But that's not all... for sure! As this viewer wants a 'sit-in'... to feel the rise and fall, as she rides along... Only the Audi A6 Allroad, appears to be one vehicle that finally installed the like effect of 'rise and fall'... but I have already had problems with its electronics... versus this one's hydralics...
The capture is superb... a clear equal to the Goddess!
PS: To compliment a couple of my vintage vehicles... (nothing like yours) is that yellow lens' paint still available in the NL, as would like a bottle or two...

so here we are :-) great car! I could not get enough of this car neither! about the shot; what I really like here is the angle and distortion of the lens which makes this car looks a little bit unnatural, but from the other side - more elegant and desirable; the background hills and sky make this effect even stronger! well done; good post-processing compared to the original version regards Lukasz

Hello, Hugo.. reading (hearing...) your words yesterday made me blush.. but understand my silence as a mix of fear and admiration... like a fan to his/her idol or deity... It?s easier to me to write anything to other else... but for you , I?m always looking for the right words.. and english is not my speciality. Like yesterday... what should I say to someone which name appeared three times in main page?
About this: in fact, the sky has improved your composition... since you already had stunning cloud reflections over the car. The result has a great commercial appeal... I?m almost thinking about buying it (although I hate cars... I?m a biker..):)) Thank you for sharing the original. Cheers!!! Carmem

I know this is a featured critique, but I can?t resist to comment this photo, I loved too much this car, it was my dream car, but never could buy it ;( Besides this, the image is splendid for its sharpness and for the particular aspect of the colors. Last question.. is it yours? ;) if so, you are a lucky man!! Bye, Max

Great detail and a wonderful sky. I especially like the location you have chosen for this shot. The ultra-smooth surface of the car hood contrasts superbly with the texture of the ground. It is very good of course. Two things struck me as I ponder this image. First, you have the lights on. In a way it gives me the message that this car is "alive" and probably runs quite well. The other thing that occured to me is that while the sky looks great, it is now starting to compete with the car for attention, and I am not sure that it is altogether a good thing...

heheheh..... The turning headlights only have a (useful) effect at slow speeds, where you need to steer more vigurously. Dear Hugo,
this one lets me dream a little dream ;-)
Reminds me strongly of a great landscape composer, Fadel J (not sure if you know him).
it has a surreal touch as the colors don't have the same saturation (especially when comparing the grass with the blue in the sky). But I do like this surreal look a lot. makes this picture even more dramatic and great. the reflections on the car itself are awesome.
Some unusual stuff from you. it's nice to see that even a master can make progressions ;-)
