About A one-arm beggar leaned on a car in bright hot traffic jam in Jakarta, asking for coins from the passenger inside. One of his arm was sliced by a train several years ago. He managed to survive up until now. A courage that not many person has, I guess...

HANGGAN!!!!

You have all the best qualities of a gritty persevering photographer:

Outstanding compassion, chummy empathy, tireless running around.

You laugh like a vortex with children, you laugh like a dancing crane driver with hardened wearily smiling working men, you entertain the aged and squeak at the military, you keep a watchful eye on animals, you even "do" trees and oceans and big stuff...

And I have just gone and looked at almost every single one of your piccies.
(Is it possible to apply for an educational grant for this sort of thing??)

In view of your prolific and fecund output, my day today has dedicated itself to you!!

Who are you?

Yeah!!

And need I say: more!!!

Paul

Hello, Russell.
Thanks a lot for your comments.
Regarding your opinion, well, somehow I agree, but as a matter of fact, I am in a beginning point of a journey to explore that. Well, this knowledge will surely help me to decide whether choosing the sephia film or BW. Many thanks..:) If you'd like to go somewhere to take pics, maybe we could go together? You can email me at hanggan@cbn.net.id.
Cheers,
Hanggan

Hanggan,
You have captured this scene so well,
I am working in Jakarta at the moment, and i am slowly learning how to deal with all this. The hardest one I have had to deal with is a person with no legs pulling them self down the middle of the road.
Thanks for being able to share to the others here what it is really like.
Looking through your portfolio, I find the sepia better portrays the colours of skin found in Indonesia than the black and white does. your thoughts??
