Simple shot BUT here 'all the money' is the lighting, hte way that the interior looks goldy against the colorless walls is a great composition for me... yeap, magic light, that is a great excample about how the lighting can add on a photo.
be well!

What a captivating image! The light through the arch caugh my eye, and then I was fascinated by the scene through the arch because of the completely different light and texture. Nice vision.

Lovely soft light and colour with great texture and grain in the walls. Invokes a feeling of mystery as to where the stairs go. 7

A very compelling image. That dark area in the doorway almost looks like a shadowy figure. Wonderfully ominous and dark and serious.

This is interesting but the doorway is a little dark. I have lightened it some to show more detail in the beautiful rock.

This is really pretty I love how the outside is the grey stone which is beautifully textured and then you have given us a peek through into a beautifully lit and almost secretive passage. Alison

The contrast between the refined exterior stonework and the interior rough stone along with the light coming through make this so very interesting, Dave. I can see the burnt part too......what a shame, as we sure don't build like that anymore.

Interesting "contrast" composition. Lovely tones.
* * *
Did you try this in b/w? Probably, a little bit more contrast needed, imho. And left vertical line (inner corner) looks nonparallel - in contrast with strightly parallel right side:(
* * *
Is it possible to shot from more left point there?

Regards,
Serge

Lovely composition. I love the differences in tones ( gold versus silver) when you reach the light. Great details, showing the blackened areas.
