This is very beautiful I love how the Polarizer has darkened part of the sky and really makes the yellow stand out. The placement of the trees, the strong light and the long shadows create a very dramatic shot. Alison

Thanks Rich! That is Kiwanas park at Lake Mitchell. Taken last fall. It made the front page of Use Film, "featured Donar" award. I never thought too much of it but it sure did get alot of attention.

Roger, Thanks for your comment. About the frame, Yes, I have been using it quite abit latley. It is a new technique for me and I do tend to go nuts when I learn something new and use it to death. However, I do like the way it feathers off the photo rather than an abrupt end. Kinda helps to set the mood. I think if you look deeper into my portfolio you will see that I have experimented with several differnt frames along the way. I do belive a photo should be presented ( dressed for viewing ) but that is just my humble opinion. I also think it needs to be done in a elegent way. I am still learning. I really do appreciate your comment and your citique...

This is a really lovely shot, and well deserves its place on the top page! The panorama format is perfect for it, and the colours are beautiful--composition, too. My only suggestion is that the vignetting (frame) doesn't contribute anything to it, and seems to be applied uniformly to all your photos... when it doesn't really suit them all equally. But then I don't like frames much at all, so that could be just me!

Yes, I have a Cir Polorizer on that camera almost allways sine I use it for land scapes and other outdoor work. I usually get goos skies with it.
