About
After snapping her pictures out of the worship room and in the staircase leading to Father Director office, I followed her into the church's "Reconciliation Room". Her dad told me she stayed long on her knees in front of the crucifix since they are buddhists and this is the first time she went inside a church.
She is too young to pray. She only watched. And her question was, "WHY?".

Notes: This handsome church looks essentially as it did 200 years ago. From 1731, religious festivals were held as friars strove to replace traditional Native American ritual by the demonstration of Christian ideals. Remnants of wall and ceiling paintings in the surviving rooms of the mission?s convent have been conserved. The church is an excellent example of Spanish Colonial architecture. A variety of features were incorporated into the construction of this and other existing mission churches in the park. Colorful Moorish designs mix with images showing heavy native influence. Intricate Renaissance details complement Romanesque forms and gothic arches. Mission builders, skilled craftsmen recruited from Mexico, preserved the basic Spanish model, with modifications dictated by frontier conditions. The native residents of the missions provided labor for the building of these churches. This activity fostered a sense of community and provided a means of training the natives as artisans.

You could have told her, Because Of US, and then ask her, would you do that if you were in that situation? it would be a whole life task. Regards, Mohammad Porooshani
