Incredible Tim, the slick textures combined w/ the singular composition and overcast sky make for a very moving image,

This has such a wonderful mood and is perfect for alone. It reminds me of being at the water's edge at sundown when no one else is around. It is so perfectly quiet and the wind has stopped and everything is still. The rock isn't the only one who is alone. Beautiful. T.

The boulder looks as if suspended in time; percariously holding on to a footing of bedrock on the seas edge. Very well shot. Stark but contemplative.

You live in a magnificent part of the country, Tim! Thanks for showing all this to us and describing it in your "abouts". This one is a masterful composition! Dave.

With this shot, you've acheived with a seascape, what Jeanette does with her townscapes! Just perfect. Some of the details are delightful, too: the small stones, the pebbles below the water, the curve upwards of the base of the cloud to the right, 'reflecting' the curve of the spit of land. Don't agree with Saeed re the composition, seems to me the equal top/bottom essential to the concept, and the stone being slightly off-centre left is visually interesting enough, and makes both sides of the pic seem in proportion to the 'weight' of the spit of land on which it sits.

Hi Saeed, yes I didn't crop it for a reason. I am trying to express the symbolism of Yin and Yang/ ..left and right/ ...conservative and liberal.......on and on..... so I skewed it just enough to one side to make it interesting to my eye but still even enough to express the opposite aspects of everything in our reality.

This is a winning image, really of high quality, which a dream for all photographers, although the weather seems very wet and promising not good day, but the image atmosphere is just fantastic, if I have the permission to say, this wonderful scene would?ve been outstanding photo with 1/3 rule respected either way crop top or bottom will do, splendid job. Tim,
You are indeed most fortunate to have such wonderful scenery that you are able to photograph.
I miss the sea - I lived for nearly 30 years close to the South Coast of England. There are sounds and sights which just cannot be appreciated when living inland.
This is another excellent image to convey in part those feelings you experience by the sea.
