Jan, I think it's called a proboscis, when I remember correctly, may be wrong. Its the rolled up feeding organ, the butterfly has to go deep into the flower tubes to find and suck up the nectar. Regards and thanks Joerg

Very beautiful view into the macro world.
Very nicely composed and a lot of detail by high technical quality Interesting ring structure in the insects face, what kind of biological structure is this ? ( I hope not piercing :)) )
The colors are also great and nice the yellow at the antenna.
