You're good, Kevin! The texture and tone is fine. I especially like the sidelong glance of hirsute gadgee #2 and the somewhat disturbing, brow-obstructed intensity of the prognathic #1. Can't wait to see more of this series...

i thought the word was gadges? and yes, they look just like that. ;) these are absolutely fantastic photos. the gritty texture that you've created suit the subjects well, ie. the gritty, sooty, hard, working class men from 'up north'. it reminds me a lot of richard avedon's portraits. i'm really impressed with your range of photography and always look forward to your next work. :)
