About That's what it says on the sign in the picture! It's a long, 17% (1 in 6) gradient and at the bottom there's a 90 degree turn to the left, so it's good advice.

This shot gives you a glimpse, not only of Portland ~ the ridge in the background, but of some of the wonderful rolling green countryside of south Dorset, lying between Abbotsbury and Weymouth.

Thanks for looking. I think I need to heed the sign in more ways than one! To drop down to a lower gear for a while!!

Best regards to all,

Chris

I add my voice to the chorus of praise... and urge you to by all means engage a lower gear. Maybe also time for a refueling stop?

Great scenic shot Chris. Makes one want to go there. It looks so peaceful. Low gear is good from time to time.

Gorgeous landscape photo Chris - no jokes this time, just enjoying the scenery in here after a long shift :-)

Beautiful countryside, unlike my trip back home from work these days ... normally 15mins but I spend 40mins at temporary traffic lights !

Best wishes,
Steve

beautiful, reminds me of Tuscany with the rolling hills. Nicely captured, yes grab a lower gear and don't blow the trannie.

Another beauty, Chris! I'm really getting a tour of the English countryside from you pictures! Time to plan on visiting the relatives and seeing it first hand. Sounds like it's time to take it easy for you, Chris. Take care.
Dave.
