Hi Tim; an excellent shot with or without the boat. It always amazes me how adding some hint of "human" to a photo really changes the character of it. w/o the boat, this landscape would have a more isolated and desolate character to it-- a character I try for a lot in my own shooting. The boat is very centered, but being small, it still works pretty well here.
Glad you like my "bold" sunsets-- I go for them often too-- cliche' or not, it's kind of a passion of mine to go for the dramatic light. Cheers. Craig

Hi jim , Yes was over exposed slightly so it is a little flat. I had another one which i posted earlier that had a better exposure but a different composition

Better light would have made the colors jump, but a nice shot none the less. and you will have the opportunity in time to come. What a place !! jimc

The moment I saw the thumbnail, I knew this was from Canada. But I thought it was Ontario (where I'm from). Lovely light and the tones and textures are great. The yellow of the rock subtly warms everything up. So even hippies have gone digital these days! What is the world coming to?! :-)

Hi Rose, i think it is lichen on the rocks. that is what gives it that orange color....mostly every thing up here is green so it makes for a great relief to get such contrasting colors here sometimes.

Wow, I love this shot. The rocks are really unique. Is the orange a type of algae? It really looks beautiful. Gorgeous color and contrast. Rose
