I do prefer the sharp version. Perhaps a tighter vertical crop would do justice to the magnificent creature that is the subject of your photo. Don't underestimate your ability to capture the vitality of living things as you have here.

It looks like the radiance is eminating from the horse itself - you certainly managed to jazz this one up! Maybe you could clone out that little white streak on the left?
