CJ- Nope and nope. Grew up in Santa Barbara, so maybe I developed the love of photography by osmosis through shear proximity. Hmm, had never considered that before. In all seriousness though, no I did not light this. She was standing under a tree with this lovely natural spotlight. I think she is a tad overexposed on the right side there, but I like it nonetheless. So did she, she has 8x10 up of it in the living room. Thanx for comin' a callin'.

A very difficult combination exposurewise, Laura. Strong light and a black dress create harsh extremes that are difficult to cope with for any camera. You've done very well in the circumstances and have produced a very pleasing portrait.
