I had Hugo's reaction to the left side as well, but I can see how cropping would kill the continuity of the canal on that side. It is a little bit painful but morning light can be worth it :-)

Hi Peter, Very tranquil shot, and well post processed. I feel a bit ambiguous about the left side of the image. The strip of land is a bit distracting the image. It also closes up the composition a bit too much for my taste... But if you'd cropped it off, it's an excellent shot.
