About I took this last Spring, and if it had been digital, would probably have deleted it. But I think it's worth saving, from the huddle of junior highschool girls to the busy stalls of the festival glimpsed through the Torii (the gate to the shrine at the top of the steps behind you in this shot).

Definitely worth saving Roger! I especially like the contrast between the "genki" schoolgirls and the "tsukareta" man on the right!

I think that the photo is great as it contains people. Excellent framing and, most of all, the green of the foliage is superb!!!!
Wonderful, Roger!

Roger glad you did not throw it away, you really got an eye for such colourful places and you always catch them carefully, never have seen better ones with Superia 400 !
For my personal taste I'd cut about 10% from the leaves at the top to get the green part make on third f the height. To keep the 2:3 relation of the whole photo you could crop also 10% at the lhs. Just a suggestion.

Hi Roger; I really think this is quite a good photo, ie it documents what looks to me like a very pleasant afternoon "function". I really like the big shady tree above the colorful people and objects.

Thanks for comments on my B&W seascape. I also think it's really cool that we have effectively collaborated on a featured critique. I didn't really think my comments were all that incisive though-- still, very nice. Cheers. Craig

Another good travel shot, showing us life in Tokyo in a way we would not otherwise see.
