The comp is very nice on this photo. Why so dark? Is the original this dark. Would love to see this lighter.

A fantastic capture of this beauty! Wonderful pose, and the colours especially in water, looks amazing. Perhaps it's possible to bring out a tiny bit more light on fir, but rather this than over exposed. It's really a wonderful photo!

Good compo/portrait ... only seems to be a bit dark on my screen.

Great capture, Dave. The white of the pelican works very nicely against that blue/green water.

A beautiful nature shot, Dave. From the shadows, I would say this was made in full sunlight, but I think it is underexposed slightly, since the whitest whites are still a light grey. I feel upping the contrast and using the full gamut would help punch out the subject. On the other hand, the color saturation as it stands now is gorgeous.

I like the contrast beween the diffferent nuances of blure in the water and the whitish red-peaked pelican in your "Lone Pelican, Dane.
Thank you for your detailed, generous comment on mr "Street scen in Vienna 2". As to your queation, I use the original wide angle adapter that goes with my Fuji Finepix S7000, which increases the angle x 0.79 and increases the amount of light entering the camera accordingly.
Regards,
Rafi

Dave, nice shot of the pelican. The reflection of it,in the water, adds to the picture. The pelican looks like he had his eye on you. You seem to have captured it at a good moment. The pose is excellent. Nice colours too.
