the "business" is due to an extreme sharpening.
perhaps you'll prefer the first version which is only contrast enhanced and toned.

Very, very interesting. You feel like you can touch your monitor and feel the texture. Excellent work. My only caveat: it's almost too busy... the lighter tones almost overwhelm the structure of the picture.
