Very nice motif and you are right, it nearly hurts so intensive is the color. DOF could be shallower though and then the photo would probably become more captivating. Take care Jorg

for my opinion, that is opposite than others, this red is too much vivid... it losses details in the texture of the petals

You're right about needing sunglasses, wow! Excellent composition and nice colors. The red, which would probably be more pleasing and less "ouch" in print form, does kind of overwhelm the texture of the petals.
