This is a great image Bhaskar. The light from the window, from the fire, the smoke create a very nice ambiance... very well done..makes me feel i am right there...

I look forward to more such amazing south India pictures from you..

Thank you for nice words. This picture was shot in the morning (about 6.30am) when morning rays were just entering the kitchen. Because of the firwood there was smoke inside which created this effect. It was hardly a few miniutes and a couple of clicks, I have some more pictures but this is the best.

the receipe i don't need but what i would like is some details about the lighting in this picture. what sources of light were there? the direction of the light coming on the wood seems strang to me. anyway, the way i see it- it's a very nice picture but with all this lighting over there i think it could have been much more interesting to play there for a couple of hours trying different light metering and compsitions. which maybe you did. if so please upload some of it.
Uri.

You've given us a fine sence-of-place showing us the atmosphere of this man's daily life. Nice use of the streaminglight also. Regards
